Notre production

For 20 years now, our goal has been selling our production in bottles, independently.

Now, we produce around 1800 hl and we sell around 200 000 bottles per year, divided into 6 appellations:

  • AOC Entre Deux Mers (dry white wine)
  • AOC Bordeaux Blanc (dry or sweet)
  • AOC Bordeaux Rosé ans Clairet
  • AOC Bordeaux Rouge
  • AOC Bordeaux Supérieur

We are very careful to work seriously and consistently : respecting quality and a correct price.

A bit of history

For over four generations, the Ithier-Buffeteau family has been seeing to the alliance of tradition and technology to get elegant, racy wines with an earthy flavour.

In the beginning, it was a mixed farming in Castelviel. It became an exclusive vineyard with Huguette and Jean-Paul Buffeteau, who bought more vine in Gornac.

Then, Jean-Luc, son of Jean-Paul, came back twenty years ago, after his oenological studies in Bordeaux and 15 years as oenologist and buyer on the Bordeaux merchant place. New projects were born like the complete restructuration of the vineyard (54 acres), the marketing strategy and the renovation of the various wineries.

New generations

Jean-Luc, son of Jean-Paul, came back twenty years ago, after his oenological studies in Bordeaux and 15 years as oenologist and buyer on the Bordeaux merchant place

In 1998, when he returned to the property, he set himself an ambitious objective: to develop marketing in bottles, while improving the quality of the wines thanks to his technical knowledge. New projects have thus been born with the restructuring of the vineyard, the modification of marketing methods and the renovation of the various cellars. In 2000, an extension of the vineyard made it possible to obtain a total area of vines of 22 hectares.

In 2012, he joined an environmental association: the Environmental Management System (EMS) of Bordeaux wines of Gornac.

Finally, 2015 was marked by profound changes, initially with the arrival of Claire, the daughter of Jean Luc, who took charge of a large part of the administrative tasks as well as the commercial follow-up, then, with the construction a new vinification cellar with a capacity of 2200 hl, in stainless steel, fully thermo-regulated.
